Using other deck(s) to test the sound of another

My newly acquired Tascam 32 reel to reel machine doing a quick demonstration. Here it is shown playing the same music clip at both speeds: 7 ½ ips and 15 ips. Tape used is ATR Mastering, courtesy of US Recording. The deck is new to me and I don’t even have a place for it in my system yet. But it is a beauty and in perfect condition. Thanks for looking.

Playing back a BASF LP35 tape at 19 cm/s – 7.5 ips

direction change, speed change…

Changed the leds with new ones in different colors for each transport function instead of the original ones, that were all red.

At 7.5 ips, first recording a piece and after that, play it back.
